According to the statistics from Eurostat, Greece’s volume of goods trade was USD44.0 billion from January to July in 2016, down 2.8% year-on-year (the same below). Exports fell by 6.9% to USD15.9 billion, and imports fell by 0.3% to USD28.10 billion. The trade deficit grew by 9.8% to USD12.20 billion.

In July, Greece’s volume of goods trade grew by 9.4% to USD6.46 billion. Exports fell by 2.9% to USD2.49 billion and imports grew by 18.8% to USD3.97 billion. And the trade deficit grew by 90.1% to USD1.49 billion.

Since January to July, bilateral trade volume between Greece and China grew by 14.0% to USD2.19 billion. Greece’s exports to China grew by 40.2% to USD0.20 billion. It accounted for 1.3% of Greece’s overall export, up 0.4%. And Greece’s imports from China grew by 11.9% to USD1.99 billion. It accounted for 7.1% of Greece’s overall imports, up 0.8% over the previous year. Greece’s trade deficit with China grew by 9.4% to USD1.79 billion.

China was the 20th export market of Greece and its 3rd largest source of imports up to July in 2016.
